Episode 8: Van Coke Kartel
(Van Coke Kartel se handtekeninge op hulle nuutste album, Skop, Skiet en Donner se omslag)
Op Totally South African hierdie week was die SAMA bekroonde Afrikaanse rock groep Van Coke Kartel in die ateljee. Hulle het ook drie akoestiese liedjies kom opvoer in die Marshall Music Live Lounge ("Algehele Kontrole", "Skadu's Teen Die Muur" en "Voor Ons Stof Word" vanaf hulle album, Skop, Skiet en Donner).
Dit is ook binnekort daai tyd van die jaar...ja jy weet dit...Oppikoppi 2010 Sexy.Crooked.Teeth is hier. Dawie het met die hoof van Oppikoppi, Carel Hoffman gesels oor wat verwag kan word van hierdie jaar se fees. Ons het ook 2 kaartjies weggegee na die fees toe! Splinter nuwe musiek van Straatligkinders was gespeel en Demo 1: Cozmic Fuzz het die Julie 2010 Demo Discoveries gewen. Baie geluk! Augustus hier kom ons!!

Episode 7: Piet Botha

Hierdie week op Totally South African was dit Mandela Dag 2010 en om dit te vir het ons die legendariese Suid Afrikaanse musikant Piet Botha in die atlejee gehad. Piet het met ons sy ervarings van die afgelope 40 jaar in die musiekindustrie kom deel en saam met Donovan Bourne drie akoestiese liedjies kom opvoer (insluitend "Gravedigger", "Suisie September" en "River"). Dawie joined PJ in studio and played an exclusive demo called "Mzabalazo" from a South African group that is doing AMAZING overseas, BLK JKS.
Staying Totally South African, Capturing The Cover focused on Seether's version of The Beatles' "Across The Universe".
There were a LOT of prizes and give-aways. As always a Marshall Music discount voucher, Jack Hammer CDs, and gig ticket give-aways to HalfjaarKalenderdag 2010.
Brand new music by Black Era featuring Bouwer Bosch, and the Local Is Lekker Classic Track was Bright Blue's "Weeping".
The show was dedicated to Nelson Mandela and the South African musicians making us proud to be South African!!

Episode 6: Fourteen40

This week a frontman who has an AMAZING voice and plays acoustic guitar as if he's life depends on it was in the Marshall Music Live Lounge. Ren Bester from the band Fourteen40 was our featured artist. He perfromed three acoustic songs "Summer Daze", "Mother Mother", and "Without You I'm Undone" (all from their album, Lucky Number 13). Episode 5: Taxi Violence

On Totally South African this week PJ was joined in studio by Dawie who did an interview with Taxi Violence! The band also performed two brand new never before released songs EXCLUSIVE to Totally South African ("Between My Demons" and "Long Way Home")! They also performed "Devil 'n Pistol" from their album, The Turn.

Building The Band hierdie week het gefokus op die breinkind van Francois Van Coke en Peach van Pletzen...Oorlog Frankenstein! Hulle oorspronklike weergawe van "Dans, Dans, Dans" was gespeel.
Unfortunately there were some problems with the Tuks FM telephones BUT we luckily spoke to Garth at Marshall Music about their brand new, hot off the ships stock earlier this week! Go check out their brand new PDP drums and percusion stock, AKG mics and Aguilar bass amps!
The Demo Discoveries was launched! Unsigned bands can enter and stand a chance to win BIG prizes with Marshall Music and Tuks FM 107.2. Demo 1 this week was from Chiba Fly, and Demo 2 from LeerlingTeenKorrupsie.

Episode 3: Die Tuin Dwergies
Hierdie week se gaste was die oorspronklike tradisionele Afrikaanse dwerg-musiek groep, Die Tuin Dwergies. Die manne het met Dawie kom gesels oor onder andere oor hoe hulle begin het as 'n band, hoe hulle self hulle eerste EP, Tuis Gekweek, by hulle huis opgeneem het, en oor Shakira en San-Mari van 7de Laan gesels...hehehe. Hulle het twee akoestiese liedjies opgevoer: "Sy SĂȘ" (vanaf Tuis Gekweek) en ook 'n eksklusiewe weergawe van "Glip Glip Vingers" (vanaf hulle opkomende album wat aan die einde van Julie 2010 vrygestel sal word).
